My name is Michele and I started this blog way back in 2005! At that time I lived in Eastern NC with my hubby and seven, yes, SEVEN kids. I always wanted a big family...and in case you are wondering, I am neither Mormon, nor Catholic. (No offense intended to either group...I just get asked that a lot!)
I've spent the past 25 years homemaking and homeschooling on a shoe-string budget. There was a time when I had 5 teenagers living in my house at the same time...and 4 of the were boys! Have you ever seen how much 4 teenage boys can EAT?
Here's my motley crew Thanksgiving, 2009. It's nearly impossible to get a group picture these days with so many of them grown-up and living their own lives now. See that cute little one standing next to me? She is now 12 and almost as tall as I am! I, on the other hand, have not aged a bit!
A lot has changed since I began blogging:
--Most of my kids are adults and on their own now.
--In 2013 we moved cross-country to Wyoming.
--I'm older and (hopefully) wiser.
--I now cook for 4 people instead of 9.
A lot has stayed the same:
--I'm still married to my best friend.
--I still homeschool (but only one left.)
--I'm still growing and learning.
