Busy Hands

Since my BIG project at the moment is the quilt I am working on, I seem to be on a kick of making quick-and-easy-to-finish projects in the knitting and crochet arena. Crocheted dishcloths certainly fit into that category!

This one looks a bit different on each side.

Free Pattern: Crochet Dish Cloth by Coats and Clark

The next two were made using Linda Bohrn's Woven Stitch Dishcloth pattern (also free.)

But wait! There's more!

Free Pattern: Easy Crocheted Dishcloth by Cheri Mancini

Tired of dishcloths??? Well, here's a hat I knit using some handspun that was gifted to me. Lots of lumpy, bumpy character.

And, flip it inside out for a whole different look!

Free Pattern: 2 Hour Hat (and yes, 2 hours is all it took!)

Next time around I will try to show some progress pics of my quilt which is coming along nicely!

All so nice, Michele, and handy to have around my messy, well-lived home :D

I can't wait to see your quilt from one talented, supermom!

Pritty pritty hat! Tell me, how do the washcloths wear? Could you post a photo of a used one? Is that too weird? But I would like to know how well it lasts with use.

Your Chinese friend must have come to my blog. I am moderating now. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest their armpits.

Your dishcloths are lovely! I'd forgotten that stitch pattern, used to use it (or something very similar) umpteen years ago. I just blogged about that pattern and linked back to your site.

Beautiful yarn too!! What kind is it?!

Cassie, the dishcloths were made using Peaches & Cream or Sugar 'n Cream dishcloth cotton. The hat was some handspun that was given to me in trade.

The rainbow yarn is amazing. Which colorway did you use?

MicheleStitches said...

Beth, it is "Fiesta" colorway in Peaches & Cream by Pisgah. Unfortunately, the company closed and the yarn is discontinued. But you might be able to find some lurking on the internet.

Thank you, Anna Maria for pointing out that the link no longer works. Here is the pattern archived: http://web.archive.org/web/20121227232539/http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/HomeDec/SB149-003+Dish+Cloth.htm

I will try to fix the original link above as well!
